Leaving a Momentum course.

I saw a Momentum course listed on FAS and I enquiried and applied for a place. I was offered a place and it doesn't affect my JA payment.

I know two people who previously left places on FAS courses and had very bad experiences with the social welfare office tryig to get their payment reinstated as they left voluntarily.

Does anyone know if there are any consequences to leaving a Momentum course even if you signed up voluntarily, as I wasn't contacted by DSP to join one of these courses in the first place.

They will probably want to know why you left, much the same as if you left a job voluntarily.I claimed before after leaving a job that I hated, They told me to write down why I left and hand it in.I just said I found the work totally unsuitable and if I stayed I felt my health may suffer. My Claim was paid without further hassle. That was back in 2002 though.Things may be different now, also probably depends on who you meet!
