    Hi,
Will this LED emblem cause problems with the NCT? It's very low intensity..

[Balls, can't insert picture, it's a toyota bage symbol that sits on the grill]

Also, I just noticed while repairing my rear brakes that the front shocks no longer have boots (Either one :( )
Will this cause a problem, I guess you have to remove the shocks obviously to put new boots on...Is this worth it? or should I just til they go bad and replace the shocks themselves? They're 180K on the corolla at this stage.

[Balls again, had a nice picture, but I need to spam some other areas to up my opst count to 50]

Thanks to anyone who bothers replying

Is the. Led emblem on thr front or rear.?

if its on the rear, is it part of the brake light system ?

If it's not the centre led brake light, I can't see a problem.

    Hiya,
Sorry, without the pictures I guess I need more words....

It's on the Front of the car, where the toyota embelem would normally go..

If we talk about it long enough my count might get to 50 where I could actually post a photo

They will fail you on bad taste :pac:

Sounds like one of those ebay logo badges. If it is the type on the front of the car and it is not causing a danger (wired properly) then it will be fine.

haha bad taste, I was waiting for that...Yes it's those LED one's from Ebay....It only shines white, and NOT blue neon like you're thinking

What about the boots....I imagine they would shorten the life of a shock...but will the NCT moan about it?

Fair enough I won't go on about the boots ;p - hey look my count just increased :)

Boots gone will be fine but if the shocks have leaked at all then an imbalance may fail you.

OK, the LED badge on the front wont be an issue, as for the boots, i dont know

Fairplay, Geniunely thanks for the replies...I'll leave the LED logo connected...and I had a good look at the shocks and they are not leaking....

But now that they are exposed, maybe some grit on them will make shot work of the seals and they'll leak at some stage :)

Back with avengence!!! (Look somewhere else for my tripe posts)

THis is the light I installed, and to close off the thread, the NCT had NO problem with me leaving it on...I had a nice tidy wiring job...
God, it's good to post photo's once again on boards :)

This light makes my car go about 10km faster BTW

yeah, i don't hate it at all! almost appropriate on a jap import corolla.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 430 ✭✭magnethead

Yeah, they come in Boy Racer Blue/Red, but I don't really have the car to pull it off, so I went for White ;p I've already got a few complements on it already.
Next step, some Daylight LED's to pull the black plastic plugs where my front Fog lights should be ;p Ebay is great for this stuff..

Never even thought of replacing my internal cabin lights with LED blubs (I've replaced them a dozen times) and LED's last forever

WHen the light is off, it goes back to a perfect silver color...Looks like the standard logo

    Toyotafanboi

How can you tell it's an import?? I know the license is square at the back, but what gives it away at the front?

as above, i had a 01 toyota import, reg 01-d-95*** so your car is close.

but also, that headlight/ front end design was never featured in ireland, also your radio antenna is on the a-pillar, irish corollas had it on the roof.
