    Hi,

    I saw this over the weekend in the park in Adare, Limerick and would like to grow something similar in my garden.
    Looks like some sort of rose tree, didn't even know there was such a thing:o

    Its a camellia. Not all camellias will grow as obligingly in any sort of soil and flower at this time of the year, but this one does. The only disadvantage is that it can tend to hold its flowers as they die off, so they look a bit scruffy, but it is a nice splash of colour.
