I recently sold all 900 of my blu-rays and players, as I just wasn't using them as much as I want to. All my movies are digital now, 1080p files on my 3TB external hard drive. Works a treat as I basically have my whole collection on there.

By the way, selling off 400 more of my blu rays at 3-4 euro each, if anyone wants a list PM me!!

streaming maybe the future alright, i have a wd box with nearly a thousand movies on, and for the life of me i cant seem to keep track of what i have watched and not watched, they are in order from A to Z pages and pages of films, but as my brother gave me the box and downloads the films for me on a thumb drive, sends it to me to copy onto the wd box, i dont want to delete any of them.
No more streaming for me, its back to good old blu ray and dvd, something i can hold in my hand and know from one glance if i have watched it or not, it is good that xtravision have a sale on this weekend with their movies, their pre-viewed blu ray are good value.

From where can you legally stream these films?

Anyone picking these up should do themselves a favour and listen to the James Bonding podcast after you've viewed each one of them. Very funny podcast by two Bond fans that see the good and bad in every movie.

Don't know why people are saying the future is streaming.

Its the present, not the future.

Well obviously there is sites like Netflix , Amazon on Demand , HBO Go etc. These sites are constantly updating their libraries.
    Also there is this :
Discover Movies Capital site .....(CANT POST LINK COS IM A NEW USER) Legally Download, Burn and Watch Unlimited Full DVD Movies Directly on Your Computer, TV, Mobile OR Tablet
The last option I have only heard of and never actually looked into. Any if your not worried about the legality of streaming there is Showbox , HD Cinema ..... the list goes on but I dont recommend illegally watching anything.

Except of those, only Netflix works in Ireland and the selection of movies is, frankly, sh1te and it sure as hell doesn't have the James Bond collection.

Yeah, that first one is illegal too.

So, the answer is still "nowhere".

Hey I never said "Forget about buying Blu rays or DVDs." I`m just making the point that they will be redundant the same as video tapes are now.
Im aware James Bond is not yet available on Netflix and I agree the selection is p**s poor at the minute but I also said they are constantly updating their library so who knows it could be there soon.
Also with regard to the other streaming services "not available in Ireland" there`s nothing stopping anyone buying a VPN and availing of these other streaming services.
    Everyone to their own.

I don't disagree but if you want the absolute best quality and if you are able to notice the difference then physical disc is still a fair bit better than streaming or satellite broadcasting

Theres no extras like commentaries, making of's, deleted scenes, alternate versions and a load of other stuff when streaming. Plus Blu Ray has way better picture/audio than streaming. You also need a broadband connection to stream so are relying on your provider, and you are also restricted by what the likes of Netflix offer so can't just watch any old film.. Also if you keep your films on a hard drive it will eventually stop working.

Basically if you really love a certain film and want to watch it in the best possible way it can be viewed then buy the Blu Ray version.

Just curious what your backup solution is for this HDD. Do you have the films backed up to a second HDD?
