Cheers OP had my eye on this. It was reduced to 200 in the currys Xmas sale

Only downside seems to be no HDMI

I actually have one myself and find it brilliant. Paid a LOT more than this for it too.

Have picked up another one now to "enhance" the audio experience in another room in the house.

    Really good price IMO.

How does this connect to your telly? It says in the specs that there are no hdmi ports, and my telly isn't smart. :)

was thinking of getting a soundbar soon so thanks OP.

As well as using it for the tv I also plan to use it to play music direct from my phone. I've never used Bluetooth for playing music before so wondering if anyone else is doing it and how reliable is it? I had an Airplay speaker till I sold it last week and I'm migrating away from Apple, one thing I loved about Airplay is it just worked every time with no drop outs or issues. But I'm worried bluetooth might drop out and wreck my head. Are there any soundbars out there that let you play music from your phone over a wifi network instead of bluetooth?

This is the regular price on pixmania.
I bought it same price in January

I have mine connected to my LG tv through the optical cable.

I didn't realise it was the regular price on Pixmania, regardless of that in comparison to Currys and Amazon it is a massive saving!

Headphone lead from the TV (less than ideal, but required for stuff like a Chromecast) or digital optical from your cable/sky/bluray units.

I use both - headphone output so I can use the Chromecast and a digital lead each from my BD deck and my UPC box.

Has your TV not got optical out?

Nope. Older bargain basement Samsung where all the cost went in to the panel (which is damn good, for its price) not features.

Actually forgot that as an option - obviously its one of the better options as usually it eliminates the risk of lipsync issues.

What are the electrical inputs to the soundbar and to the woofer? I have looked up the owner's manual but it doesn't specify - can any owners help?

If it's a hard-wired cable, buying from Pixmania means using UK-euro power adapters which I'm wary of, especially for something plugged in all the time.

If the mains power goes to a figure-8 or "kettle" type connection then it's just a question of finding the right leads to use.

    Thanks,
    Eddie
