Regular Lime too late before silage?

    Lads,

    Just got soil tests back...silage ground seriously defficent in lime. Is it too late to put it out or should I wait till both cuts taken off it...ps needs a lot p&k also so slurry going out as soon as can travel it.

    too late grange. I chanced lime in feb last year for silage ground. Cut in June. Did not preserve as well.

    Would there be any difference for the OP if he used brown/burnt lime.... Or even granular? Rather than ordinary lime

    Granular lime will give u a fairly quick result,ground line needs 3/4 months .my advice go granular now 2/3 bags per acre and ground lime in September .no point loading on p+ k if ph ain't right

    Would it be ok to go out on grazing ground at this stage or is it too late
