Get the dinner out of the way early, have a clear run at the day.

That's bad enough but I know a man that his wife always milked and when she was having contractions ready give birth to their first born she asked him to take her to the hospital he said milk the cows first and I'll take you then, which she did. No breakfast in bed for that woman.

Totally disagree with these special days that have been invented by "Hallmark"...

Off to a nice restaurant now. :)

Our wee lassie looked thoughtfully into the distance this morning and said 'Daddy can I take some flowers from there?'..(the bunch for OH)....I said yeah why?....she replies ' so I can give them to the Mammy sheep for Mothers Day'.

Was up early to check the sheep. Went into town to get paper and remembered it was Mother's Day. Bought bunch of flowers and chocolates and brought her out to dinner . Should be safe for another year.

How thoughtful of you to take your mother out for dinner on Mother's Day.

Muckit, most of the time your mother is your mother, but remember you only have your mothers word for who your father is !:D:D

No but she is the mother of my 2 children who aren't quite big enough to purchase yet but if oh hadn't got something I would be getting the consequences of it.
