I need some information, then I can help you. ( I run my own rainwater harvesting company )
    1.How many people in house
    2. On average how many times in the week is the washingmachine running
    3. How big is your garden
    4. Can a tank be installed close to downpipes
    5. Are you on Septic tank or mains water
    6. Can your roof size give you enough rainwater to do all you require
7, What type of roof is on house Pitched/Flat
    8. What sort of budget do you have to do all
    9. Where do you live-- The reason I ask is to do rainfall average for the area you live, The I can calculate the amount of rainfall you can collect yearly, which in turn helps size your tank, knowing answers to question above.

If you wish to speak to me I PM you my number.
    Google BS8515.2009 for some information
Potable Water and NON Potable water cannot be mixed

Isn't it generally regarded that it won't save you money?

built a new house and did our research on every part of it.
We picked out a rain water harvesting system but the builder
decided to go with a company he knew.
Over two weeks ago we had a water leak commimg from the
well but the plumber couldnt find it and and a long dig we found that
the ball cock going into the rain water harvesting fitting had broken
under the ground.I contacted the -snip-who supplied the tank
to explain what was wrong and was told by a pig of a man that it was outside
the tank and it wasnt his problem. So after several calls to the main office
they agreed to come out on wednesday (6 may 2015) to refit the ball cock fitting.
But didnt turn up untill the day afters afternoon. i rang the office several times asking
what time they would reply but got a no interest reply.
After our experience with this company i wouldnt advise anyone get a system of that company

There are a lot of inaccuracies on those pricings shown. Do your own sums on your own preferred kit before assuming anything smile.png

    First anomaly...

Ive just had a 7500litre tank and system for a lot less than quoted there!

If your doing work on the house anyway and can put in the appropriate piping ect then go for it -
We were doing a lot of work on our house a couple of years back - we separated the potable and non potable systems so can hook harvested water into non potable- also put all the gutter pipes to one point- and put a power point to the same place ( to power a pump)
Mightn't get round to it - (got to source a small pressure pump) and only have room for a couple of thousand litres anyway -
