just wondering ....I have a manifold in the hot press. There are individual pipes coming from it , presumably for each rad. I want to be able to switch of three rads in kitchen and heat the remainder of the house.

not overly familiar with plumbing....in a nutshell...is it just a case of identifying which pipe feeds kitchen and inserting a zone valve on that one , with an electrical connection (control wire to heating controls in kitchen) which will then open/close pipe as required.

is that the basics of it ...thks....are zone values expensive? I have a danfoss controls ,has anyone experience of using them? can you use a basic heating control switch ....any one have link to one ...thks
