Anybody know of an iPad version of Heavens Above? I see that there is an Android app: any news of an upcoming version for Apple? If not, any other iPad apps worthy of recommendation?

    Thanks.

    Hi ollie103,

I've got Moon Globe, Moon (by CDV Concepts), and Moon Map Pro for watching our satellite; Astrolabe Clock and Analemma for their curiosity value; Coton HD because I also love cloud-watching; Gas Giants (by Software Bisque) to show the moons of Jupiter & Saturn; and Aurorawatch UK's app 'cause ya just never know when we might see the northern lights.

Star charts/planetariums on my iPad are: SkySafari 3+, Sky Map Pro, and Sky Guide (a nice little app).

Portal to the Universe is an app that collates news items but I don't use it much now as various web sites such as http://www.universetoday.com and http://www.space.com do the same thing.

    Happy browsing!

    John
