Hi all..has anyone any input as to what age would be an acceptable age to walk to school unattended?
The kids are just about 8 and 6. The elder been an alert smart kid of an extremely protective nature over his brother.
The journey is about 10 mins walk with one main road crossing with a lollypop lady and a few smaller roads in housing estate with reasonable viability. .
Are they fit to undertake this trek,
    Thanks in advance..m

The 8 year-old might be able for it alone, but I wouldn't like to put the responsibility of minding the 6 year old on their shoulders. At 8 they would have a bit of road sense and judgement. At 6 not so much.
