Calculating BTU of radiator

    Hi - I wonder is it possible to calculate the BTU of an existing radiator (approx. 15 years old).

    It is a double rad 110 cm long x 45 cm high.

    We're getting an extension in a while and want to keep this rad so want to work out how much extra heat we will need for the new layout.

    500 x 1100 k2 quinn rad 8347 btu

    Looks like an old stelrad, 450x1100 is just over 5000 btu.
