Hi, is there any type of feedback thread facility for this forum, I notice the atheism forum has been provided with one, and it seems very useful, and users might find one useful here as well.

    Regards,

This one can be used as one for now. If I find a pre-existing one this evening, I'll merge this thread with it.

    Thanks for that, fair play.

I read in the charter that certain subjects, should be dealt with in certain mega threads. Are these still in vogue ? as they are a very good idea, as it would certainly help a lot of the threads and keep them on topic. There are a lot of 'drive-by' style posts people would like to respond to, but a lot of them are the same type of subjects, and not on the subject of the OP, if the posts and queries were in the mega threads, people can respond to them better there, rather than having to give the same answers over and over on different threads, it groups common themes together, and it keeps the original thread on topic, which can be lost sight of at times. I'm sure it would make moderation easier too, once people got the idea.

Just a suggestion, whatever suits though. Keep up the good work.

    Regards,

    CT

no, as it would be off-topic for this thread.

    That doesn't make any sense.

A public explanation, rather than an explanation through PM, would make others posters aware.

I've moved the posts here as it more appropriate.

You don't seem to know what an ad hominem is.

It is not simply an attack on you. Saying 'grow up' is not an ad hominem.

An ad hominem is the claim that your argument is invalid because of some irrelevant property (How can we believe in Obama's economic policy, he was born in Africa!)

By your own admission you don't put forward many arguments, so I'm not sure how someone can be attacking your arguments with ad hominems

I see now you've resorted to attacking posters instead of the post as well.

    Ah well.

TheLurker didn't attack you but was rather explaining why they didn't agree with your use of the term 'ad hominem'.

I don't understand what the problem was with my stating that

Just feel like saying well done to the new mod! This place feels quite different than it did in the past - definitely in a positive way. I suspect that owes much to the inserts I'm seeing from you here and there.
