What is a PA Lease?

    I came across the term PA Lease this week.

    The only references that I can find in Google seem to indicate that it a form do-it-yourself lease used in the United States.

    What does it mean in an Irish context?

    Is it a form of Ad Hoc lease customised for particular circumstances?

    What does the anagram in "PA Lease" mean?

    I don't know. Is it commercial or residential?

    The main commercial leases in Ireland are IRI (Internally Repairing and Insuring) and FRI (Fully Repairing and Insuring).

    From what I can gather it is a form of lease holding used, perhaps, by Housing Associations and such like for sheltered housing - perhaps where the property is not owned by any of the parties immediately involved.

    Have wondered if it is something akin to a holding by way of licence.

    I really don't know - but am intrigued - and wonder if there are wider potential applications for this type of lease.
