Fifty-eight recruits will graduate at the WA Police Academy this evening in a ceremony before Commissioner Karl O’Callaghan APM and the Honourable Liza Harvey MLA, Minister for Police.

The passing out parade includes recruits from Gold and Blue Squads and comprises 44 men and 14 women, with an average age of 28 years.

They come from a wide range of backgrounds and countries including Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, Russia, South Africa, the United Kingdom and the United States of America.

They are also one of the most mentally and physically gifted groups the Academy has seen in recent times.

All 58 graduates have completed a strenuous 28-week training course at the Joondalup Police Academy and will begin their careers at various stations.

You never know where you end up... the Irish member must have raised the bar ;-)
