Incorrect Tax Refund

    Hi,

I applied for my tax refund for 2013 a few weeks ago. I was let go in April of that year and paid over €640 in tax.

I received a letter with a cheque for €12.99 this week. This couldn't possibly be correct, right?

I had self employed income of €1225 in the final month of that year also but nothing else.

Could you advise if this seems correct? Would my local revenue office be able to correct this at this stage?

FTR: My tax credit for the year was 1650 and I earned less than €10,000 (I was a student)

Looks like you haven't claimed the PAYE credit.

Did you have another thread about your tax a couple of weeks back? You're making some balls of it..! :p

Hahaha, I was hoping nobody would notice I was the same idiot!

I called revenue up and they fixed the income tax but your woman on the phone said I should expect a couple of hundred quid back so I emailed Fingal PAYE with my P45 and P50.

Do I need another form or should I just call them again?

This is like a baptism of fire for me. I literally knew nothing about how taxes are paid before this disaster! :/
