    Hi there folks,

Finally getting around to getting on the eCig bandwagon.

Currently smoking 5-10 Marlboro Lights per day.
Looking for something simple to get me going. The Mods stuff looks a bit intimidating to start with! Plus they look massive!

Jaysus it's a minefield trying to research all the different options :)

I'm thinking of going with the Evod 2 or the eGo CC. Anyone know which would be better for a newbie?

Where would be the best place to pick up a decent kit for one of these?

    Thanks.

Get an IStick 20w or 30w and Mini Nautilus tank. Far better kit to start with plus you'll be able to re-sell them v easily if it doesnt work out for you.

bestshop.eu seems to be the cheapest at the moment...

and replacement coils for the tank. You should get 2 to 3 weeks from each one (the tank comes with 2 of them as well)

    Thanks for recommendation Trond.

If I was going for a mod this seems to be a no brainer. However, perhaps it's because I'm new to this but the things looks massive! I was looking for something where the form factor is still in the general pen/cig shape for now - it's probably something I'll get over eventually but right now that's what I'm thinking so I still have a similar experience to analog smoking.

It's really not as big as it looks. I was shocked when I first held it. If I rest it on my S5 phone it covers about a quarter of the face of it.

There won't be much difference in performance between the Evod and the ego CC, they'll both be fairly poor. With a decent sized battery on them (1000 mah at least really) they will actually be considerably longer than an istick and nautilus mini. The istick has a battery twice that size so will last twice as long I'm between charges and you'll be able to use it while charging. It's a no brained really.

If you like the pen shape, start with a variable voltage battery. This will give you an idea of how voltage effects the taste of an e liquid. €15 - €20 will get you a decent one, maybe even a kit with a clearomizer (Tank) and charger too. It is really important to get a decent set up to start with....and one that works for you, everybody is different :)

Yeah the istick's pretty small, you really need to see it in real life, to get a sense of it's size. The thing is as well if you're using an istick people aren't really going to see it as your hand will be cupped around it, they will only really see the tank attached to the top of it.

If you prefer a small form factor then you should also consider an eGrip which is pretty small mod and performs quite well, plus you have an option to get the rebuildable base if you get into that sort of stuff. It's my back up device but I'm also using it when I'm out and about.
