Clutch/Possible throwout bearing

Hey - Just today starting the car cold as I about to put it into gear I heard a weird grinding noise as I pushed down the clutch.

Once I let the clutch come pedal come back up it's fine, or when I push it down all the way it stops, it's only when I push the pedal down a bit the noise kicks in. Sounds like something spinning, unevenly and metal grinding against metal.

From checking the net it looks/sounds like the throwout bearing... does this sound right, and if so, is it a big job to replace and how much? guessing it's to do with the clutch I'm assuming so.

    I drive a 08 Honda Accord 2.2, old model

If someone could confirm any of the above I'd be very great-full.

Sounds like the release bearing alright.
If it's making noise when u only push the pedal it's defo the bearing
I would be more inclined to quote you between 450 and 500 if your going through a Indy garage
