My 5 month old Pandawill Pulid S1 phone died recently so decided to try this Vodafone branded (Alicatel) as a replacement (won't be going the China route again!).

It's actually better than the specs indicate - it's got Snapdragon 410 rather than 400 so 1.3Ghz and Antutu of 21,743.
4G and NFC which I haven't used but WiDi works well and connected immediately to my TV - streams from Kodi with no problems.

4.5" - size similar to iPhone 5 which I find easier to use as a phone than 5" plus.

Great value at €79 - haven't tried to unlock as I'm currently with Vodafone PAYG but shouldn't be a problem.

I got this phone last Christmas for €59.

Its OK for the price but it has a cheap feel about it. My biggest gripe is the low volume on the ringer, its very hard to hear, even at max volume.

It can't be unlocked (cheaply) the last time I checked, the Smart 4 & Smart 4 Mini can.

Do you know if the smart 4 mini can be unlocked?

Yeah, sorry, it was the Smart 4 mini that I unlocked. Got a code for 99p from eBay IIRC.

Also IIRC, the Smart 4 can be unlocked too for the same price but not the Turbo that the OP is referring to.

The battery is an improvement on the Smart 3 and a hell of a lot better than the Samsung s4.
