Hybrid laptops

Does anyone own or have any options on hybrid windows 8.1 laptops?

I need a new machine to replace a 7 year old Sony Vaio.
I've been thinking about a hybrid machine, as my main desk at home is taken up by a large work-owned Dell laptop and monitors, so a hybrid ultra book would be handy for the lightness, portability and versatility of not needing it set up in a permanent place on my desk.
I like the idea of being able to fold it up into a tablet for casual use away from the desk, or stick it in tent mode to save desk space when using the work machines. I have no idea how this kind of use stands up in day to day use though.

I really like the look of the new HP Spectre X360 - http://store.hp.com/UKStore/Merch/Offer.aspx?p=c-spectre-x360
It's got some great reception since being unveiled recently. The Lenovo Yoga looks nice too.

So anyone got any pros and cons regarding these hybrids? Model suggestions? Or better off staying with tried and tested standard laptop form factor?

Why the HP Spectre x360 is the front runner -

    i5 or i7 Broadwell cpu
    8GB ddr3 RAM
    256 or 512GB SSD
13.3" Full HD or Quad-HD screen
    Great battery apparently
Has proper port options, 3 USB3 ports, full HDMI out, displayport, sd card reader
    Backlit keyboard
Just look at it! The full aluminium body looks great.

I was thinking the i5, full hd, 256 SSD model for £899.

Open to suggestions if theres something else I should be looking at?
Dell XPS 13 looks nice too.
