Horse Racing Highlights.

    Why do they show racing highlights?
    Cheltenham is on Channel 4 at the moment,RTE are a devil for it as well.
    Surly if the race is over all you need to know is if your horse won or not,doubt anybody is waiting for the highlights clutching their betting slips.

    RTE in shocking filling of airtime they have no programming for... the horror.. :pac:

    People want to see the race and how it was won, the predictions people made beforehand, the post-race interviews and of course they want to see what the buzz is like at the festival.

    As painful as it was people might want to see things like how exactly Annie Power managed to fall at the final fence whilst being well in front on her own. I guess the purpose is analysis like many of the highlights programmes in other sports
