Formula 1 - Online Season Pass?

Does anyone know of any sites/services where I could pay to watch the 2015 season? Have no need for UPC /Sky TV subscription at home, F1 would literally be the only thing I'd watch on TV, have Netflix for everything else!

I've googled but can't find anything, can anyone help?

Thanks in advance and apologies if this has been posted before.

I'm pretty sure there is no such thing, the TV rights contracts make it unfeasible. If you end up finding somewhere that does charge for streaming it is most likely bogus or could get shut down at any time.

It says on the NowTV T&Cs that its for UK residents only?

Might give it a try but not sure if it'll work in Ireland.

Thats how I get it, there's a big thread for it here http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2057001096

    Use BBC and Nowtv

    For nowtv
Works out to be close to 150 quid for the year, but as I can have it on 2 Tv's in separate homes I split it with my brother so that brings it to about €75

Sky Sports is GBP 4.99 monthly on iPad app http://www1.skysports.com/mobile/apps/9653510/sky-sports-for-ipad

Is that not only Sky Sports news for non customers?

Thanks all for replying. Going to explore that NowTV box option.

I've a Smart LG TV at home, think you can get a NowTV app for it. I'll see how that works out and post back up here.

I borrowed a user id for Sky Go off a friend for the race today, and was very hopeful it would work OK, but it was truly awful. I have a fast Intel i5 PC, 8Gb RAM, SSD, UPC 240Mb connection, wired, and it was constantly up and down in quality, and also buffering occasionally. Not once did my data rate go much over 1.5Mbit/s the whole time. I'm not sure if it's a general problem with Sky Go, or UPC playing silly buggers throttling the 'competition.' Also tried the Android app but that was just as bad.

So, I'd be wary of shelling out for a season pass for NowTV without testing it out first.

I had to resort to RTL with the sound down, and Radio 5 Live for the commentary, although I may wire my TV up to UPC for Setanta analogue reception at this rate.

It depends on your internet connection. I use SkyGo regularly and find it brilliant

Well, like I said, UPC 240Mbit/s down / 24Mbit/s up, the fastest you can get in Ireland, and a wired connection, so that really shouldn't be the problem.

What ISP are you with by the way?

I'm with eircom, not sure what speeds but internet is always good and skygo never buffers on either my phone or laptop

I've often thought the same. I've used it in the past on a fast UPC connection & had terrible results.

I was using Sky go on a wireless connection and then I switched to wired and it was better but not as good as something like this should be. (I know your already on wired)

So did anyone try Now TV? Was it HD, did it look good with no stuttering?

I've just tried the Android app over WiFi and it looked promising to start with, but after 30seconds or so the quality went to crap again. Switched to 3G (Vodafone) and it was perfect, at least for the 5 minutes I watched it for. Damn thing wouldn't let me cast the screen to my Chromecast though :(

So it looks like it's a UPC thing, either deliberate throttling, or just lousy connectivity with the Akamai server Sky use.
