High windows on boundary wall

    Hi all,

Quick question - we are designing a house where our boundary (southern) wall looks out onto a public green.

We will be incorporating some long high windows in our living room, kitchen & dining area on this side. The architect has drawn in the windows so the sill is about 160 or 165cm I think (over eye height) , but suggested we could drop this so we can see out of them (consequently ppl could see in)

I'm not sure which would be more annoying - having windows I couldn't see out of, or ones ppl could see into! We ae about 3ft from a boundary hedge. He also said lower windows can be used for storing books etc.

    Any thoughts here? Cheers

Does it bother you if people glance into your rooms while using the green and how likely are people going to do it? You can get privacy film which is partially silvered to reduce the view into the room but this can reduce the natural lighting and solar heating of the room.
