Hi. Have a flight to the UK with aerlingus next week and just found out my passport is out of date. As far as im aware you can still travel with a drivers licence (according to their site anyway) I was just wondering, how does it work coming back through to Dublin when you need to show your passport?

The licence is fine, you don't need to show a passport coming back if you are UK/Irish citizen coming from the UK, you just need to satisfy the immigration guy.

    No problem.

Only Ryanair insist on Passports or national ID.

But a driving licence is enough for Aer Lingus.

I used my Leap Card fine with Aer Lingus - it does have a photo on it.
