My Dad is long retired and nearly 70. We would like to find a club for him to keep him active as he is quite bored. He loves fishing, hurling and pitch and putt but doesn't do any of these at present. Would anyone know of a suitable club for him to join. He lives near Naas and he drives. Any suggestions appreciated!

Ryston sports and social club in Newbridge is excellent. They have pitch and putt, indoor bowls and bridge among others.

Elm hall in Celbridge do mid week (Wednesday I think) retiree pitch and putt. Loads of people go apparently, play a round and have tea, sandwiches and all that Jazz.

Alternatively every Sunday groups go out and play in Elm Hall, little clubs, groups that he could join and they are very good too
