So I was coming about 20mins ago from M50 to M1, on the flyover, circular route, or whatever you call it, at the end the 2 lanes become one https://www.google.ie/maps/@53.408648,-6.225629,3a,75y,249h,69.32t/data=!3m4!1e1!3m2!1stSqpXkKW8elsFwKTIR65cA!2e0

there was a truck behind me maybe 100m and a guy in the inside lane passing him by. I go past the "2 become 1" part and the guy on tghe inside barrels it, so much so that he caught up with me and passed me on the single lane on the inside where there was no room (i was doing 60/70 at the time), I had to swerve to the left and break very hard otherwise we would have come together sideways...

As if that wasnt enough next thing the truck is filling my rear view at 60kph and beeping furiously..foot to the floor and away the car took me....when I think how different that might have been in a slower/older car....not a pleasant moment...

indeed a large truck doing that speed hitting you from behind when your stopped will certainly put you in a whoosh....

Let me guess, you were speeding and then the "TDI lad" ahead put his foot down and you got covered in the auld carbon and had to slow down?

That M50/M1 interchange.....gah....there is gonna be a big smash there someday with people not paying attention to the lane signage.
Yesterday a Korean 4x4 came to a complete stop on the inside 'airport' lane to then pull across the the next lane and onto the next lane..How the fook they didnt get creamed by a)me and b) the truck trundling up the outside of me.

Why are you merging onto a motorway at 80?
That interchange and the one at the airport heading towards the city are lethal for this bolloxology.

It doesn't look like the OP was as far down the ramp as he says/thinks he was, as it doesn't like there is enough room for two cars side by side there, or for a car to "pass on the inside where there was no room".
