    This came off my mondeo. It hasn't hampered the performance of the car yet! Is it still ok to do short journeys? What is the purpose of it so? Thanks in advance.

    Back box is a silencer, it won't affect performance, in fact air flow may be increased. Exhaust note should sound louder

    Be careful. It's a possible that the hot exhaust gases will melt something underneath.

    Are the garda even bothered anymore,I take the mr2 out regularly and the whack off it is unnatural never been stopped in it

    Suppose it depends on the fella youd meet. I wound up being charged in court, despite replacing the old big bore with medium bore baffled unit. No sound testing or nothing.
