Are you looking for a professional valet or to buy the products and do it yourself?

Just a few mates are askin would I clean there car and said they would give me 20 but I'm sayin it's more than that
They think 30 to 40 is what you would pay in a valeting place

You'd be looking at €80 to get it done professionally if your including claying and full interior shampoo

I know they are your mates and all but you get what you pay for 40 isnt going to do it.

When you think about it how long would you be at he car doing it ?
You have to provide the materials to do it and the skill to do it as well.

If they are looking for you to do it your skills are in demand so price accordingly.

Im an electrician by trade myself and the amount of people who think changing a light switch socket etc is a two min job is unreal they do not consider the time taken to get there provide the material do the job etc
Your situation is very similiar if you want a quality job it requires time effort and correct products

My advice would be sit down and do a quick estimate for yourself and then ask them if they would be willing to pay x amount.

Always remember they might be friends but you cant be doing stuff for free either

You might get a wash and interior shampoo/clean for 80.

For all the things above I'd say that you'd be looking at 120.

If it's for close mates I'd price accordingly.
If it starts to be mates of mates I'd look at how much your normal job pays and charge that, unless you want to make money rather than just as a hobby /favours.

I was sayin how is it only 30 or 40 euro .. You pay 10 to 15 quid on a quick car wash and Hoover on the interior and that's maybe 20 mins work
I'm only makin an extra 30 quid and I'm a full day at the car nerly so o said no I'm not doin it for 30 or 40 euro it doesn't cover materials and I'd I was to dot hates very day as a living in only making 150 to 200 a week
I wouldn't do all that for that little money as you know it's a long hard job doing it all properly and making sure everything is spotless

" A good workman is worthy of his hire "

Never under sell yourself or your service, whether you are dealing with a customer or a mate.

I got my car valeted today and was more than happy to pay the advertised price in the valeting centre. The guys did an excellent job , a thousand times better than I could ever achieve.

So charge your mates the going rate, if they are not willing to pay, they are not really your mates !:)

That's what I think I said you'd be Lookin atleast 80 or so nd I got laughed at saying it's not worth it if never pay that for a car to be cleaned

I think 80 is worth it all day it's not as if I'm using ****ty products I use good stuff and really put the time in and certainly wouldn't do 7 to 8 hours of hard work for 30 to 40 euro it's not worth it at all so I'll let my mates go elsewhere and get there car cleaned for there price and see how they get on when they clean IT with s sponge and fairy liquid with cheap cloths and I know they won't get half the work put into it

If they are willing to give you €40. Just do €40 of cleaning for them (quick wash, de tar, wash, dry, quick detailer, bit of tyre dressing). Even that's probably too much for €40. And I wouldn't bother using too much of your decent products on them either.

That's all €40 would get you
A lot of people really don't understand the work that goes into cleaning a car I told them what you have to do for a full clean but still no so there not gettin nothin ha

Right decision don't waste your time entertaining them.
People who want a quality job pay will pay the rate and actually appreciate the hard work and effort you put into a job which imo is worth more than any sum of money.

Yeah it's s great feeling Seing somebody's face after they get the car back off you but my mates won't appreciate it and just look at it as a clean car so I won't waste my polish on them

The majority of the motoring public at least in this country are like that. Point in case, pretty much most of the people i know just want the car to look clean. I dont waste my god products when washing their cars.

When dealing with your mates - take the car, early in the day - send them off for 6 hours - do 30 mins work on it, clean it, quick detailer, tyre shine...40 quid - its exactly what they'd get if they dropped it to a valet....they wont notice any different!

Sound to be a plan cause there not gonna appreciate it at all so what's the point and they want it for buttons
If he was ok about it and said he's pay it I'd do it for cheap but €40 on polish and wax along nd only gettin €30 for a job doesn't mske sence hs the maths don't add up
