Skin purging-Glycolic Acid

I've just started (in the last 2 days) using nip and fab glycolic fix serum as part of my skincare regime. While I initially noticed an improvement today I've started to break out in little whiteheads and my skin is looking a little worse than usual.... Is this normal? I really don't want to give up on these products (also got the mask) as they were pricey.... Is this just a case of my skin purging? I also use pixi glow tonic which contains glycolic acid but can't remember it having this effect on my skin...

You are most likely purging due to the glycolic acid. This shouldn't last too long just keep using the glycolic acid and they will start going away. However if they change for small white heads to a full on beak out the product may be breaking you out but at the moment you are only purging.

I'm not familiar with the product but is it of watery texture or a cream? are you using too many products that might be blocking your pores? You should incorporate some light exfoliation every other day this should clear the whiteheads but have a review of all the products you're using.

Be careful of over-irritating your skin - how much are you using the serum? Daily? Try cutting it down to once evey 2 or 3 days and see does that improve your skin. Some skins are just too sensitive for daily acid use - exact same thing happened to me! Had to cut it down to twice a week.

Edit: I see you've used glycolic acid before without trouble - the % in this new product could be higher than pixi glow and your skin is reacting to it.
