Feeding pit silage with split bucket

    I have a shear grab but find it awkward taking on and off. Does anyone use the bucket to get silage from the put? Can it be done in a way that reduces spoilage?

    I've done both and the grab is streets ahead, ur losing the quality of ur feed by pucking the pit with a bucket to get silage out. Forget about it.

    What about something like this? Neighbour of mine made a homemade one of theses back in the 90's as his loader didn't have a quick attach. Still has it.

    Spotted one on show in the millstreet show a few week ago that was a silage grab, bale shear and bucket combo. Anyone seen one working, did look well on the stand?
