applied for job that is now advertised as a jobridge?

About a week and a half ago I applied for a job that I would have really liked, even though it was only part time. It was deleted off the website after 3 days(I had applied on the day it was posted). I thought that was way too quick to have interviewed and found someone for it, but whatever. Today I see it is back up on the same site, but now it is full time and is a jobridge internship
It's literally the exact same position.

What's the deal with that? I know there's probably no rule about it, but it seems very unfair.

Why pay when you can get it for free?

I'm sure there is a rule where it is not allowed to be used as a replacement position of a full-time job.

I think you can...and should report them if such a facility is available

You're right there is a rule, but unfortunately there is no penalty. Wasn't so long ago that a large number of firms were identified as misusing / abusing the jobsbridge scheme but the media couldn't publish the list, and the labour td with responsibility for same was also loath to name them. Their only punishment was exclusion from the scheme.

As for the ops predicament, I fully sympathise with same however with some of the largest unions supporting jobsbridge the interns are on a loser straight away.

So the only punishment is to name and shame them. Was the name and shame thread in this part of boards or somewhere else?

There is no name and shame, apart from a few individual people who scour the websites and name same on blogs and other social media, and I believe the teaching unions and nurses also keep a wide berth f rom same.

Yeah there was an old thread I just found it on a search 'Jobridge name and shame', although it was locked 2 years ago. Oh well.

If you don't complain nothing will happen.

If you do send an email/letter to the Social Welfare about this will have to register your complaint so the next time they're doing a media day and someone asks how many complaints have you about the scheme you'll have increased that number by 1.

Use something like Google cache browser to try see if you can see the webpage as it was last week. Save the webpage as html and pdf if you can and/or print it out and send it to the job bridge guys.

Better still set up your own website dedicated to naming and shaming job bridge companies :)

Believe the most that can happy is a company being banned from the scheme for two month, pretty pathetic really.

OP - send an email and print screen images to RTE Investigates, or some other news organisation, there's always a journalist looking for a lead. RTE were responsible for the school cleaner jobs being taken off the jobbridge website, with considerable embarrassment to the government and Minister for Social Protection Joan Burton.
