I was Driving on a 3 lane DC yesterday in lane 2 overtaking a few cars, at the same time I was being overtaken in Lane 3 by Car A, ahead of me in lane 1 was Car B, Car B indicated to overtake into lane 2, Car A indicated to move back to Lane 2, both level with each other and both moved into lane 2 at the exact same time. They both noticed each other and no harm came, but i was wondering if the collided who would be to blame? 50/50?

In Ireland probably yes - 50/50 as there isn't any traffic rule setting up who has a right of way in such circumstances.

F.e. on the Continent, in most countries there is a rule stating that in such circumstances (2 vehicles trying to chnange into the same lane from two sides) priority goes to vehicle changing from the right.
    Makes sense tbh.

    Interesting question.

On the continent it would be reversed so I'm confused . Does the car moving from the furthest overtaking lane get priority or a the car moving from driving lane to overtake?

    Lane changing?? In ireland???

    Rules are as follows.

    1:Drive in middle lane.

    2:Never change lane.

unless you are going fast, then you should be in the 'fast' lane..

Well I mentioned it already in revesed form as it applied there.
So driver changing from driving lane to middle lane, would have priority over driver coming back from most outer overtaking lane to middle lane.

which is the "slow" lane in fact as everyone in this country thinks he/she owns the fast lane.

The guy in lane 3 is in the right as he is returning to the left as he is supposed to do, the guy in lane 1 is not entitled to overtake unless its clear to do so, which would include being aware of his surroundings (including blind spots).

Lane 1 to lane 2 is over taking. Lane 1 driver needs to ensure the road is clear before attempting to over take.

Lane 2 to lane 3, exact same as above. Its classed as over taking.

Lane 3 to lane 2, moving back from an over taking position to normal driving lane, preference lies with lane 3 driver.

Lane 2 to lane 1, exact same as above.

Regardless of what order the above is done, someone pulling out from a normal driving lane to an over taking lane must give preference to the person who is returning to the left most lane available to them.

That's just your own opinion and I seriously doubt it would have anything to do with how it really works.
In case of accident like that in Ireland I can be it would be 50/50.

Also Europeans Continental rules stipulate it should be actually completely opposite.

I'd agree with the rules on the continent. The car moving from lane 3 into lane 2 would have more visibility than a car moving from lane 1 to lane 2.

I'd say 50/50 too based on that you should make sure, when switching lane, it is clear in the "reverencing lane".
