    So, today somewhere on boards I came across a user called zippy84 - hi zippy if you're reading this :) - as opposed to my own of zippie84.

    Stupid as it might sound, I did have a little moment of thinking it was me, and not remembering writing the particular post they'd written.

    Then weirdly they made their profile not long after I did, so if it hadn't been for the fact that they'd been posting on it recently (I think) I'd probably have been wondering if it was actually a second profile I'd made around the time and forgotten about.

    so any similar weird little things for anyone else?

    Did you manage to make a username so distinctive that nobody would have making one too similar, or like me have you come across someone with a practically identical name.

    If you're a subscriber then you can request that name. I don't see why they wouldn't give it to you since the account is 14 years old with zero posts.

    1 month seems a bit much? I'm guessing in some cases people might like to just have an account to read, click 'thanks', communicate via PM etc... not many granted but could happen.

    Or could be other genuine reasons why people haven't posted.

    I think it should be not just about whether people have ever posted or not, but if they'd never posted and never logged in for along period of time (much longer than one month) I think it's a good idea to delete from database, but obviously could be a bigger picture / reasons we're not thinking of why this isn't workable / a good idea.
