I said the same thing on here a few months ago. What had Khan done at ww to deserve a shot at mayweather. Guess I'm not the only one thinking it.

I'm pretty sure Thurman would KO Khan, that is not a fight Khan should be looking at. It would be exciting while it lasted though.

I said it myself here supersean that he needs to do more for a shot at the big two. I said and still think he's trying to rob a living he should go earn it

Thurman is spot on. Khan is being well managed, as if we didn't already know. He won't be put in with a hitter, hence the passion for the Floyd fight. Huge money with less risk to health!

Strangely i'm of the opinion that Khan can outbox most, if not all the welterweights in the mix. Of those mentioned I think Floyd poses the least risk of knocking him out. Kinda makes sense why they are chasing that fight.

He's a total spoofer. Should have fought Alexander 12 months before he eventually did, would have won a world title and might have gotten a Floyd fight out of it.

Didn't want to risk it though and held out for the Floyd fight anyway which I'm delighted he didn't get. Should have fought porter last time out too, would have been a bigger statement than Alexander.

I reckon he might look for the Bradley fight next.

If Khan wants big fights he needs to earn them. He has a golden ticket to a big pay day and a world title shot against Kell Brook but he is not pushing this rather beating 2nd rate figthers while bleeting on about how he would beat Mayweather.

He knows Brook would handle him and he can't go near any fighter with real power or he will end up on his rear end. Bradley will have no interest in fighting him IMO as Khan isn't a high profile fighter.

Khan needs to get busy as unless you are a World Champ you can't get by with fighting 4 times in 2 years.

That's an absolutely pathetic thing to say.

Whatever you think of him, to say he's the equivalent to some scumbag going round breaking into houses or mugging people just beggars belief!!!

I'd hazard a guess that you've never stepped into a ring yourself, cos if you did you'd never say such a ridiculous thing about someone who puts his life on the line every time he goes to work.

I'd say Chrissyboy was using the phrase for emphasis purposes.

You know well what I mean. My point is Khan needs to stop looking for fame and a big payday. He should putting his head down and going about his work fighting and beating boxers that are on par or if not better at this moment in time. It's not as if he's only on about Mayweather the last few months it's the last two years he's harping on maybe more and everytime it's the same thing my style would give him problems maybe? But go bloody earn it.

    Actually I don't.

I'm dead serious. I have to take you at face value and what you said was ridiculous. If you came back and said you had a few pints on you or something like that, I'd understand, but as you originally inferred you had already said it before and haven't shown any sign of retracting the remark since, my belief is that you still think what you wrote. If so, you need to take a long hard look at yourself.

If that's the case, what the hell is he fighting professionally for then?

For what it's worth, I believe his style is the one that gives Mayweather the most problems. I'm not saying he'll definitely win, but I believe he'll make it an exciting fight and it would be very interesting to see how Floyd adapts to his style. That's what I'd like to see when watching Mayweather, instead of another boring uneventful points win.

Why doesn't Khan fight a boxer who's style gives him problems and get over them hurdles first before trying to jump the line. I think Mayweather has came up against every style in boxing in his 20 years and passed them all.

Do you actually think that every boxer who ever got a title shot 'deserved' it?

No course not but the way Khan talks you'd think he was deserving. He has to do more to be deserving he has no interest in fighting anyone else but Mayweather hence why he doesn't fight as regularly as he should and in IMO that's because he's fame and money hungry not boxing hungry

He's talking about fighting Broner next. I like that fight.

He's talking about fighting Broner next. I like that fight.

Broner 'called him out', which in the Haymon era means Broner's looking for another tune-up but trying to sell the 'I'll fight anyone' line while he does it.

If it happened, I have Khan shutting him out. Khan is flawed, but Broner's habit of freezing up when the opponent throws would be fatal against Khan. Add to that his low workrate and heavy feet and I struggle to see him winning a round.

Mayweather has fought several fighters who you could say weren't deserving. Maybe include that when you are criticizing Khan for wanting a fight that will bring him millions.

Apart from a Broner KO he would stand little chance. He'd be overwhelmed by speed and volume. Broner just doesn't have the firepower to beat Khan IMO. Clear points or stoppage win for Khan.

Agree but most of them fighters were not shouting from roof tops when they were not deserving they were lucky to get the fight. There's a difference Khan believes he's deserving and doesn't have much hunger in fighting anyone else.

Khan hasn't been deserving but he's talked himself into a position where he may get said shots so one way or another he's getting what he wants.

People criticize him because (1) he whines about not getting the Floyd fight way more than anyone else, and (2) he was doing it at the same time he was fighting journeymen like Carlos Molina, Julio Diaz, and Luis Collazo.

When he beat Alexander he finally put himself in a position to justifiably call out the top guy in the division, but at that point you can hardly blame people for being fed up of listening to him.
