Parrot CK3100 intermittent issue

Hi lads, a relatives car has had a Parrot CK3100 installed for the last 4 or 5 years working without issue until lately.

Now, when a call is made or received in the car, the person on the other end is barely audible to the occupants, sound is coming from the speakers but it is very faint, and the kit is not usable really.

Sometimes during testing this problem, the problem momentarily ceases and everything works fine again, only for the sound coming from the speakers to drop back down to barely audible levels a few seconds later.

All the while to the caller/callee outside the car they can hear the occupants perfectly. So I was thinking that it may be a loose connection or something, so yesterday I checked if I could see anything obvious when I removed the radio but could not.

Does anyone have an idea of something more specific I could check, a specific connection for example or I am looking at getting it repaired?

    Thanks

I have one of these units and it works very well for me too.

The only think I could suggest is that if you cant see any obvious connection errors it may be a broken wire issue.

Its possible the wire in the cable is broken - to fix this you would need to replace the cable.

Used CK3100 kits are available at fairly good prices on Ebay if you want to try and fix it yourself at a cheap price.
