........people think your son is your husband/boyfriend.

My 17 yr old son came to a gig with me tonight and 3 different sets of people asked if he was my SO. I of course was delighted but him not so much. Ooops.

I was 24 when he was born so it's not like am in my 30's or something.

    Fun times.

So have you ever had such an awkward moment with your child/parent?

    What's SO?

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

My youngest sister was born when my mum was 45 and my dad was 51 ... she's now 13, and they occasionally get mistaken for her grandparents!

On the other hand, my mum (who is now 58) was recently out with my one year old in his buggy, and she was asked if she was his mum ... she was delighted with herself!

My ma was 40 odd when I was born, and people sometimes thought she was my grannie when I was younger.

And thought my sister (15 years older than me) was my ma.

    What's an SO?

    Sex offender.
Myself and my 'other half' both have dark features, more than a couple of times we have been asked were we brother and sister. My usual response is "yes,we are indeed siblings, good observation there chief" and then watch with glee when the colour slowly drains from their faces as I begin casually stroking the inside of her thigh
