    Hi all

My policy was up at the end of February. I rang them and paid a desposit for
My renewal. The guy on the phone said I should get my disk the following day. So anyways they sent me a form to sign and to send back which I did and they sent me the form back saying I didn't fill it out right and to send it back within 48 hours to ensure continuation of cover. What the hell? I only received it today at 6 as I was working all day. There. Office is closed for the weekend. Am I covered? I've. The deposit paid can someone help

All I can say to u is fill out the form make sure all is correct, post it tonight and it should be picked up by post office tomorrow morning ,unfortunately they won't get it till Monday, if there is a contact number and they are open on Saturday morning ring them and explain the situation, hopefully they are understanding and you are covered, good luck

Don't seal the envelope. Ask the post office staff member to stamp or sign the bottom saying it was posted on x date. Then seal and send.

Don't they have to give you 7 days notice of not continued cover...happened to me, I had money paid, they accepted it. Contract bound.

My contract law is outdated but doesn't the postal rule cover the op if he sends his part back within the 48 hours? Also, even if it doesn't, I'd imagine they mean 48 hours as in 2 working days if they don't work weekends.

I was kinda thinking that. Well they should of just rang and asked for my bank details and they could of filled it in themselves i had it signed

Acceptance and the effective date of the contract are different concepts. You can have an enforceable contract but agree that cover will only be in place in respect of a certain period or after a given period of time.
