A review of the overall scheme is to be announced by the Department of Social Protection pending an expected partial wind-down of the scheme.
Government sources say that as unemployment numbers near single figures for the first time, those on Job Bridge schemes can be moved on to a long-term unemployed list.
Other employment options through different schemes can then be offered to the individuals without work.
The Opposition has criticised Job Bridge repeatedly, with some TDs labelling it as "scambridge".
Those who take part engage in work for a €50 weekly payment on top of the dole.

Can somebody tell me if those on back to education, those on job bridge, internship and various other schemes are taken into account in these figures.
If not surely unemployment is much higher.

6000 on jobs bridge, so if it is it's minimal.

Thread closed as this forum is not for discussing government policies, but rather personal queries re: State Benefits.
