Kildare to Dublin Commute

Is there anyone who drives from the Sallins/Naas area to Dublin on a daily basis for work?

I currently get the train and then Dublin Bus to work but I'll soon be working in the Ringsend area, and this would mean needing to get two buses to go direct from Heuston which is not ideal. I am therefore thinking of driving to work.

Can anyone doing a similar journey advise a suitable time to leave at in the mornings and the best route allowing for traffic etc? Also has the Newlands Cross works improved travel time by much?

Could you not take the LUAS from Heuston to the Point and simply walk across the toll bridge into Ringsend?

That is one of the options I thought of however only thing is that, on the way home it's a rush against time to get back to the train station..

Where in Ringsend? I'd advise using Dublin Bikes.

I do it myself from (Newbridge > Heuston > Grand Canal Dock). Takes 15 mins to get up the quays to work. You always get a bike from either station in the car park and is so much faster than the Luas. Add 5 mins to get to Ringsend. Only thing is you'll need a change of clothes (change of shirt at least) if you sweat like me
