    Quick question .. would an ultegra 6800 11 speed chainset replace a 105 5700 10 speed chainset without issues?

    needs a different bottom bracket cup if i remember rightly when i changed to 6800.

    honestly, couldnt be sure but i was running 105 and bought 6800 last year - had to exchange existing bb for new.

    more experts on here than me though so don't take my word

    Ultegra 6800 bbs have a different outside diameter, which means you need a different tool to install them, but the spindle diameter which they take is the same as older 5700 etc. bbs so it should be fine since the spindle diameter didn't change.

    I'm going to borrow your thread and ask if I can replace my current 52/39t 105 FC5600 chainset with 105 FC5750 50/34t without any further alterations? I'm running 11-28t in the rear.
