    Hi,
I've wanted a mkII golf project for a long time and I've planned alot of the changes in my head for years.
I previously had a ep3 type r but I've sold it to get the golf, because i've had the ep3 Im not going to be able to jump into a slow car so I want to get an idea of what mechanics or garages are around that do engine conversions. I want either a 1.8t or the 2.0.
My golfs an 89' and I've read that the 1.8t is better suited to that age bracket of mk 2's.
Would want other adjustments too such as gearbox transmission upgraded breaks and so forth.

Any advise or direction would be much appreciated!

    thanks people.

The 1.8T is a fantastic engine, highly reliable and very tuneable. Its a great powerplant for a MK2 conversion.
