My shop has been stolen

    Hi everyone,

My shop has been stolen by a staff and I lost EVERYTHING! Apart from the stock he also took the trading money and last week's sale, the Garda initially told me that they could charge him for theft but nothing has been done so far. The problem is the person who did it had his name on the company's book which means he owns half of the company's asset, the Garda said it's very complicated because it's very hard to prove which half belongs to me.
Just wanna ask if there is anything I can do to get my money back? Is there a possibility to get the Garda charge him or I have to go to court? Thanks lads(and ladiesðŸ˜႒)

Are you sure you haven't simply misplaced it?

When/where did you last have it?

Have you checked down the back of the sofa..?

You should go to a solicitor.

I actually know where he lives, so as the Garda, but I don't know if they are going
    to charge him or not.

    I've probably gotten this wrong.
Did ye have a business account? would it not have needed both people to withdraw from it?
Could you go through the bank somehow?

The guards might say they don't want to press charges, but you insist you do.

    Good luck with it. :(

    Thanks deise08
I've tried to get him to open a business account with me but he kept saying we can do it later, I don't go to the shop often because I have a baby to look after. He took all of the books when he left so I don't even know how much he took for the last week's sale.
Will the Garda charge him if I "insist"? Or is the DPP who makes decision?

OK - enough of the funnies already.

OP I was going to just move your thread over to Entrepreneurship and Business Management, but I'm guessing that with the current content it won't get the attention it deserves.

So I'm just going to lock this thread as off-topic or Work and Jobs, and suggest that you start a new one over in http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=106

And, ahh, you might get better suggestions if you can use a phrase other than "my shop has been stolen" to describe the problem.
