I can think of better places to do serious damage to an A330, getting the beast repaired there is going to be "interesting" to put it mildly. The nose wheel has collapsed, and there appears to be damage to at least one set of engine cowlings, so I suspect it's not going to be a simple removal and ferry.

Shore, if it was easy, everybody would be doin it.😁

Are you supposed to use the rear slide after a nose gear collapse?

Have to admit, the potential for injury to passengers would be a lot higher, that slide angle looks frightening, I guess that the "official" word would be not to use it, but a lot would depend on what the conditions were in the aircraft after the incident.

The slide is designed to be long enough to be usable even when the nose gear has collapsed. Same with the forward slides in the event of the aircraft sitting on its tail.
The escape ropes in the cockpit are also designed to be long enough to reach the ground when the aircraft is resting on its tail.

There is nowhere that states you shouldn't use the rear slides in an evacuation where the nose gear fails, but i guess it would depend on the judgement of the cabin crew on they day, they would have to quickly decide how quickly they need to get people off vs. will this slide cause excessive injury ? Its a difficult call because things may seem calm in the rear section of an A330 after an incident like this but who's is to say the front section is not on fire? And if there is smoke or fire at all YOU GET OUT! Better safe than sorry is the attitude so get everyone out and ask questions later is the approach taken during an evacuation .

Old but interesting video of how an evacuation was hampered by strong winds and then the aircraft tipping onto it's tail.

oh yes you would as the mob would either push you out or walk over u.

KTM is a horrible airport to fly into, it might be slightly easier if you are approved for the RNAV approach, but the VOR approach is a nightmare.
