    As above.

Does anyone know how to stick it back on?

Everything seems to be still there and it's working grand when I push it. But I just can't seem to clip the plastic thing back on.

How often do you really need to type Q anyway. It'd be much worse if you lost a vowel. Just replace it with kw where necessary e.g. kwueen, kwuiet, kwuota etc. Just as good.

If you read my OP I say it works grand when I push it.

it's the plastic casing (if you will) that came off, and won't clip back in.

Stick a bit of chewing gum on it and put it back

The letter Q is useless anyway. There are fcuk all words that don't need a U after it.

Just use 'kw' instead and stop being a kweer asking stupid kwestions

    Patent the Werty keyboard now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,215 ✭✭✭galah

Turn the keyboard around and use the "p" key :pac:

(or use the ascii code. Might be a bit awkward but hey...)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,458 ✭✭✭chops018

I took out another couple of keys to compare.

The little clips broke on the Q one :(

And so ends the tale of the Q key.

Rather than put it back on the keyboard straight away, you could pin it to your lapel.

This is a good way to impress James Bond fans at parties, who will automatically assume you work for the British Government in a technical/R&D capacity and have forgotten to take your security badge off.

Op must be good at scrabble if they broke their Q key.

That wouldnt look cheap and tacky at all

It was a Quiet day in the factory
we decided to have a Quiz.
For each correct answer we received a Quid
    Quite good I thought.
It was also the Queen's birthday
    Quigley the boss shouted
    Quit what your'e doing
Go out and get a good quality card
    Take the Quad
    It's parked beside the Quay
    And be Quick about it
The ducks said Quack Quack as I passed
The Queue in the shop was a mile long
Trust me to get stuck behind some Quare fella
    Looking for Quail's eggs
And a woman looking for a book on how to make a quilt
All this on my quest to get a quality card for the Queen

OP Throw the Q in the bin you'll never miss it

My top tip of the day !

If you ever lose the Q key from your keyboard simply remove the letter O and carefully paint a little squiggle in the bottom right hand corner of it and place it where the Q was.

    Sorted :)

And replace the O with a 0, as alot of keyboards have two 0s.

See Mr McCl0ud's solution above. ;)

    This is a common problem.
Just take out a key that you rarely rarely use, like one of the Delete keys. You can manage with one Delete key.
Then put the Q where that Delete key was and it will work no bother.

How is the Q key falling off a common problem?

Make sure that you switch on the Number Lock on your keyboard.
Hold down the ALT key (left alt key).
Press 113 for 'q' or 81 for 'Q' using the Number Keypad on the right.
    Release ALT key.

    You're welcome.

And if you have to remove your O to replace you're Q simply remove your C and paint another little sQuiggle and that will be you're O sorted :)
