In woodies, all Sandex paint is heavily discounted. the 10L drums are €10 down from €55, the 5L are €5 etc. I stocked up to paint the house/doors etc in the summer for €50 :)

I wont be smiling however when I actually have to paint the house.....

Great deal, is it all colours?

Edit...Looks to be all removed from woodies.ie so probably getting rid of existing stock, great bargain, it's very good quality paint.

Didn't have any white or much left in Coolock. I picked up a 5€ drum just for the sake of it. Not the nicest color been honest.

Yeah (on tuesday), they still had 10L drums of a few colours and plenty of 5L drums and wood stain/paint when I was there Tuesday evening.

I know this is a kind of how long is a piece of string query but how many litres would a 3 bed 2 storey mid-terrace house (former Dublin Corpo house) require? Are we talking 50L or 100L or somewhere in between?

I rang every Woodies in Dublin and Kildare and they are all sold out of white and black. Wexford told me they were all taken within hours yesterday.

You might be lucky and get 2 coats front and back out of 10 litres depending on the surface. Dulux coverage is claimed around 15 m2 per liter on smooth surfaces. A lot less on porous surfaces.worst case scenario 2 10 litre tubs

Woodies will no longer stock Santex, hence the offer.
Sale started Tuesday and they sold out of Magnolia, White and black within 2 days.
Lots of varied colours left but they are going fast.
    Should be all stores.

This was so good I went back in and got another 25L today for some other jobs I'd been putting off :)

Got 45L of masonry and 1L of gloss for 48 euro overall, serious bargain for this paint.

Woodies seem to be doing a second phase of revamping their stores. Last year's changes seem to have worked well.

gone is the very industrial warehouse look in favour of a more "department" store style in many areas.

Seems a good few product changes are being made too - and delisted products being cleared with decent discounts over a period of time. They don't seem to shout about them, so you need to check for "clearance" price labels on the shelving.

The Carrickmines store has had its makeover - looks good.

Athlone had 3 sandtex brick red left and some kind of a brown poo colour some people like those for wall/piercaps and cills
