    Site is down.

    You'd wonder why toilet roll would have a best before date...

    Giving that they were featured on ITV yesterday no wonder that the site is down.

    Some of the boxes they were packing in the tv show last night that featured them looked a bit too big for parcel motel, depends on what you order I suppose

    Would parcel motel work for delivery?
    They have many exemptions. But I think food with a BB date will be ok, as it is inherently "not preishable"

    http://www.parcelmotel.com/prohibited.html
    ITEMS NOT ACCEPTABLE FOR DELIVERY VIA PARCEL MOTEL

    We do not accept for delivery or storage (in no particular order and includes but not limited to):

    Parcels or items that do not conform to Parcel Motel size, dimension and weight limits.
    MONEY (coins, notes, negotiable instruments equivalent to cash such as endorsed stocks and bonds). Stamps or Coins of any kind.
    FIREARMS, WEAPONRY, AMMUNITION AND THEIR PARTS
    FOODSTUFFS, PERISHABLE FOOD ARTICLES AND BEVERAGES REQUIRING REFRIGERATION OR OTHER TEMPERATURE OR ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL
    FIREWORKS AND OTHER ITEMS OF AN INCENDIARY OR FLAMMABLE NATURE;
    EXPLOSIVES of any kind
    HUMAN CORPSES, ORGANS OR BODY PARTS, HUMAN AND ANIMAL EMBRYOS, CREMATED OR DISINTERRED HUMAN REMAINS;
    HAZARDOUS WASTE, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, USED HYPODERMIC NEEDLES AND/OR SYRINGES OR MEDICAL WASTE;
    WET ICE (FROZEN WATER);
    ITEMS REQUIRING NIGHTLINE TO OBTAIN ANY SPECIAL LICENCE OR PERMIT FOR TRANSPORTATION
    DEAD ANIMALS OR ANIMALS THAT HAVE BEEN MOUNTED
    ART Original works of art
    PRECIOUS METALS Bullion or precious metals of any kind
    JEWELLERY gemstones, watches and items of a high value (see limit of liability)
    VALUABLES, antiques, heirlooms, items of significant sentimental value or nature
    AGE restricted materials of any kind including lottery tickets or any material where availability is restricted by law to persons over a certain age
    PORNOGRAPHY or obscene material of any kind
    ALCOHOL OR TOBACCO
    FURS or items restricted by regulatory authorities
    NARCOTICS, CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES OR ILLEGAL DRUGS of any kind
    DANGEROUS goods of any kind that may cause harm or damage if leaked or spilled
    LIQUIDS unless adequately packed to contain any leakage
    COUNTERFEIT or contraband material of any kind
    PERISHABLE items
    Items that have a pungent or strong odour or items that may cause contamination of any kind
    PARCELS THAT ARE WET, LEAKING OR EMIT AN ODOR OF ANY KIND;
    PARCELS OR ITEMS THAT MAY CAUSE DAMAGE TO, OR DELAY OF, EQUIPMENT OR PERSONNEL
    BLOOD and pathology items and items that present a biological hazard of any kind
    Living creatures of any kind
    GLASS, CRYSTAL or MIRRORS of any kind.
    At first I thought it was no food, but someone pointed out it meant "foodstuffs -needing refrigeration".

    Glass is listed but sounds like they are worried about panes of glass rather than food jars.

    My last 2 human corpses made it throught so they are not that strict ;)

    Maybe it's easier to poke your finger through it accidently after the best before date.

    £15 delivery to ireland for 25kg parcel
    That's reasonable, no point using parcel motel as it would be oversize

    Not seeing anything that would justify the postage, everything i looked at is the same price or cheaper in my local supersavers / eurogiant.

    As above, nothing there is cheap in the first place, when you add sterling and delivery it's useless.

    Amazon do a similar thing through their warehouse deal section.
    Wouldn't be the selection there is here but lots of short dated items heavily discounted.

    If you bought 25KG of food passed its use by date, how long before you would actually eat it yourself?

    all depends what you buy they have pet food ect.
    i only said about the delivery being 25 kg to Ireland to save anyone using parcel motel
    I wouldn't buy anything myself from them, i prefer hunting for the yellow stickers in the supermarkets, can pick up some great bargains, especially in tesco at about 7pm,i picked up a huge rib roast for a fiver, display until dateis a great way of getting a bargain.
