    Hi,

Moved to an new apartment recently and my TV and indoor aerial is no longer picking up Saorview.

The same TV and aerial had no issue in my last apartment and worked fine in my girlfriends place while she had them. Both places are relatively close to my new one.

Anybody know why it would stop working all of a sudden?

The Saorview signal can vary from room to room (even different locations in the same room) let alone apartment to apartment. The Saorview signal probably isn't good enough in your new apartment to work with an indoor aerial.

Have you tried testing the aerial in different areas of the room?
If possible test it on a window sill of the room in the direction of your nearest recommended transmitter - http://www.saorview.ie/get-saorview/make-the-switch/coverage-map/

See section 8.2 if this document regarding indoor aerials - http://www.2rn.ie/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/RT%C3%89NL-SAORVIEW-FAQs-May-2012-Rev-7.1.pdf

Hi The Cush. Thanks for the feedback.

You were correct, I can pick up a signal on the northside of the apartment which, as it turns out, faces the local transmitter tower.

Unfortunately, the living room is on the southside so the aerial won't work there :(

But wait, what is that on the wall? It's only an aerial connection to one that has been up on the roof all along! Oh joy! The only problem is that it's on the other side of the room from the TV :/

Do you know if there are any alternatives to running a cable & trunking the whole way across the room i.e. some kind of booster/receiver?

Put the TV near the aerial and use a very large mirror.:D

The TV's tuner requires a direct connection to the aerial.
