im planning to tile over existing tiles in an on suite but im presented with a small problem , if i tile over the floor - standing area of the show , i end up with a very deep gully in the middle of the shower area , its a round hole so fitting in some kind of trim is not really an option according to the guy ive hired to tile

    any ideas ?

Best to contact suppliers of floor drains and ask them to propose a suitable product.

Just take out the old drain before yo start tiling and raise the pipework to suit the new level. Then just cement around the pipe.
