Flights to Stockholm

I'm looking to fly from Dublin to Stockholm on May 29th - June 1st. Hoping to get in before 4pm or so on the 29th, as I will be running the marathon and want to get to the expo in the city centre to pick up my race number. Trying to figure out the cheapest way to do this; flying late to Stansted on the 28th and then on to "Stockholm" early on the 29th (staying with a mate the night before) with Ryanair looks to be the cheapest but may be a bit awkward. I know the "Stockholm" airport is actually 100km+ away from the city itself.

Are there any other options I'm missing? Can book directly with Fly SAS or Norwegian Air (and might do), but they're over €300 compared to the Ryanair option via London of around €150.

(If this is against the "don't ask others to look for your flights" charter, apologies)

Consider flying to Gatwick and from Gatwick to Stockholm (Arlanda, main airport) with Norwegian? Just had a quick look, there's return trips on those dates for €115, plus whatever the fare of getting yourself to Gatwick is

If you fly SAS, you get fed and baggage as well as flying in to the right airport. Norweigan Air is just like ryanair.

If you add on any baggage with ryanair it will add up to 80/100 euro for 4 legs. The hassle and cost of travelling to and from the airport in london four times plus the long expensive journey when you arrive in stockholm and back to the airport would convince me to travel with somebody else. Make sure you are adding on all the extra costs of the 'cheaper' london ryanair 4 flight option. As well as the potential to miss the thing all together.

I took a look at your travel dates and I found...

    DUB > ARN

KLM + Air France 207 euro (change in dam and paris CDG)

Lufthansa + SAS 210 euro (change in frankfurt and oslo)

KLM 260 euro (plus a short change in amsterdam.... ooo tasty) hahaha. This is actually the best flight as it has short changeovers and it is booking in to a good fare class if you are collecting airmiles. You could choose to extend your stay in dam too.

Norwegian fly to Arlanda, the main Stockholm airport.
