I bought Ksyrium Elites with a campag freehub on Rose and bought a shimano freehub to enable use with my shimano drivetrain.

This is the hub on the wheel

    http://www.mavic.com/wheel-tyre-system/fts-l

This is the shimano freehub I purchased

    http://www.wiggle.com/shimano-ultegra-6700-10-speed-freehub-body/

I removed the campag freehub with two 5mm allen keys and the shimano one doesn't seem to go over the remaining hub on the wheel.
The remaining hub has the pawls on it which fell off when removing the campag freehub but they can be easily popped back in.

Do I have to disassemble the shimano freehub to get to the freehub shell which I reckon would fit over the mavic hub.

I am out of my depth here really but just wanted to do it myself to save a few quid and learn how to do it

Have I bought the wrong Shimano freehub.

It's the right one just put the pawls back in and hold them closed while you push the other freehub on (use a slight anticlockwise motion while doing this so the pawls do not engage).

It is supposed to be a tightish fit.

Looks to me like thats a freehub for shimano WH6700 wheels that you bought, this might be what you need?

Agree with nilhg on this. You could put up a wanted add - someone ought to have one lying around.

Sorry my bad, I only looked at the mavic link, the freehub you are looking for is a mavic product and not a shimano one.

If you got the freehub from Wiggle they should exchange it for you
